Red Yucca

A resilient evergreen native Texas cactus & succulent that provides year-round foliage and structure to the landscape. Native across the Edwards Plateau, Red Yucca (Hesperaloe parviflora) thrives in local conditions while supporting the surrounding ecosystem. Distinguished by dark foliage that is dark olive green, it offers an exceptional visual and tactile texture. During spring and summer, the plant produces pink, red flower clusters. Flowering is followed by seeds black to 3 cm that add vibrant visual contrast and seasonal interest. Deer browse the foliage, while the flowers attract hummingbirds. Thriving in calcareous, dry, limestone, rocky, sand, and well drained, Red Yucca demonstrates outstanding hardiness once established. It requires minimal supplemental water and adapts seamlessly to drought conditions. It features high deer resistance.
