Cenizo

Celebrated for its regional ecological value, Cenizo (Leucophyllum frutescens) is a evergreen Texas shrub native across the Chihuahuan Deserts, Edwards Plateau, Gulf Coast Prairies and Marshes, and Southern Texas Plains. Its persistent foliage provides year-round green structure and shelter for local garden wildlife. During Spring, Summer, and Fall, the plant produces delightfully fragrant, pink, purple, white blooms. Flowering is followed by white fruit that adds seasonal contrast. Provides cover for desert wildlife. Best suited to calcareous, dry, rocky, and well drained, Cenizo adapts seamlessly to local soil conditions. It requires minimal supplemental water and tolerates dry spells with ease. It offers high deer resistance.
